Interesting. But I thought we have a blog page devoted to this genre of posts, in Mr Nataraj's distinct medium of choice. I find 'Nanna Mysooru' has remained unupdated since March 31.
Got me confused too. I think Mr. natraj, you have a blog page where you can write all your poems and thoughts and keep the impressions, information, issues and ideas page for other matters. I think you are writing in the wrong place and your writings are better served in your blog page. Don't get me wrong, they are all interesting, only that they are in the wrong place.
Thanks GVK. But, please clarify as to how a reader comes to know that the blog is updated unless he opens this page? Though my intention of writing here is not this , just need to know . All my future writings would be on this dedicated blog apart from posting all the writings done hitherto. Thanks for the feedback.

He doesn't, till he opens your blog. Trick is to update often so that people come to expect something fresh whenever they open your page. They tend to come back, if you don't disappoint them.
The flipside is a blog that is updated almost on a daily basis but goes unnoticed because it is not user-friendly. Take Mr Dinakar's blog. It's updated often. But it's what I would call, a 'gated blog'. Each item is buried in a blog within a blog. Besides, the latest entry gets at the bottom of list.

The way a reader can get an update on a blog is to subscribe to the blog via an RSS reader or via a mail client like Mozilla Thunderbird which notifies the user whenever there is an update to a blog. About RSS Mozilla Thunderbird is a free download and there are free RSS readers available.
Hope this helps. BTW, nice discussion about a great city.
